«To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven» Ecclesiastes 3: 1
Everything in life has its right moment. Have you noticed that? Like when we wait for some fruit to ripen to eat, or when we count down the days until our birthday. In the book of Ecclesiastes, the Bible teaches us that “to everything there is a right season; a time for every purpose under heaven.”
This means that there is a right time to laugh and a time to cry, a time to plant and a time to reap what has been planted. The problem is that sometimes we want things to happen quickly, but we need to learn to wait for the right time. Remember, patience is an important virtue. God, in his wisdom, has planned a right time for every single thing in our lives. He knows when we are ready to take on new challenges, learn important lessons, or celebrate achievements. Even if sometimes we don't understand why some things take so long to happen, we can trust that God has a perfect plan and that everything will happen at the right time. We can have the certainty that all that God does will endure forever.
Take Action
For this activity, you will need a watch or a timer (it can be the one on your cell phone). Choose a task that you normally do quickly, such as brushing your teeth, making your bed, or eating a snack. Now, do this task very slowly, observing every detail and movement, while timing it. The goal is to learn to slow down and realize that we don't always have to be in a hurry. By taking things easy, you can discover new details and better appreciate each moment. This activity will help you understand that there is a time to be fast and a time to be slow, and both are important.
