WHITE AS SNOW

«Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.» Isaiah 1:18

Snow has a special glow that delights everyone. When it falls, it covers everything with a pure white layer, transforming the landscape. It even seems to bring a certain peace... And when the sun shines on it, the reflection is so intense that it can even hurt your eyes. Skiers know this well and wear goggles to protect themselves from this glare, did you know that?

In the Bible, in Isaiah 1:18, God makes us an incredible promise. He says that no matter how great our mistakes or sins are, He can cleanse us and make us as pure as snow: “‘Come now, and let us reason to-gether,’ says the Lord, ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.’” That is wonderful, isn’t it? Even if our mistakes seem big and hard to erase, God has the power to cleanse us completely. It is like when we draw and make a mistake, we use an eraser to fix it. When God forgives us, it goes some-thing like this: He gives us a new chance to continue our life, erasing our mistakes, as if we were starting our drawing in a new page.

God wants us to be clean and pure, just like the freshly fallen snow. He wants to help us be better and live in a way that pleases Him. And the best part is that He is always ready to forgive us and help us start anew. Know that there is nothing you can do to make God love you less, just as there is nothing you can do to make God love you more! He loves you simply for the fact that you are you! That is really awesome, isn’t it?

Take Action

Cleaning Challenge: Take a pair of white sneakers or sneakers that have white parts and try to clean them as best you can. See if you can make it glow as white as snow. As you clean, think about how God can cleanse our hearts and our lives, making us pure and shiny like your clean sneakers.
