«Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.» Daniel 12: 3
Did you know that there are billions of stars in the universe? Each of them is unique, and some even have special names given to them by the astronomers who discovered them. There are several websites that allow you to name a star, but you can't say that they are 100% reliable.
In the night sky, each star shines in a special way. They are little lights that illuminate the darkness, just as each of us can shine in our own way. In the Bible, in Daniel 12:3, God tells us that wise people will shine like the stars. But what does it mean to be wise?
Being wise isn't just about knowing a lot of things, like the answers to your school's questions. To be wise, according to the Bible, is to know God and understand what He wants us to do. When we choose to do what is right, help others, be kind and learn more about God, we are being wise!
And, do you know what's even cooler? God promises that wise people will shine like the stars forever! This means that, when we do good things and follow God, our example can light the way for others, just as the stars light up the night sky.
Take Action
To practice being wise and shining like a star, try doing something special to help someone this week. It could be helping a friend with homework, being kind to your brother or sister, or even sharing something you've learned about God. Every good deed you do is like a star shining in the sky!
