«Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.» Hosea 6: 3
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to meet someone very famous? Maybe a singer you like, or a football player (or any other athlete) from your favorite team. At first, you would be speechless, but if you became friends with that person, over time, you would feel more comfortable talking and getting to know more about them. It is the same with God! He is the most famous person in the universe and wants to be known more and more by you!
In Hosea 6:3, God invites us to know Him. And how can we do that? One of the best ways is by reading the Bible, which is His Word. The Bible is like a big book that tells us everything about God, His plans and His love for us. Every story, every teaching, helps us better understand who He is. A side note: don't read the Bible just to learn more about its stories, but to get to know better the God behind each story!
Another way to get to know God more is by going to church. There, we learn from others who are also seeking to know God more. Just as we need help learning to ride a bike or understanding math, we need each other to grow in our relationship with God and understand His Word more.
Take Action
Every day, write down something new that you've learned about God, whether it's from reading the Bible, listening to a story at church, or even observing nature. It could be a trait of God, a promise He made, or a lesson you learned. At the end of the week, share your findings with your family or friends at school.
