«The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.» Nahum 1: 7
“The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.” The summary of this one-sentence verse is “God is watching over you.” We are living in a climate of uncertainty and insecurity, and this ends up making us anxious. Then we learn from this text that God is watching over us.
You see, it's normal to feel anxious. Of course, who wouldn't be anxious about having a test at school or a job interview? But that anxiety begins where faith ends; after all, He cares for those who trust in Him. God wants to take care of your life in every aspect. Everything! Even what seems irrelevant! He's willing to take care of everything! Everything that is important to you is important to God. It may be something that doesn't matter to people, but it will matter to God.
There is nothing too small or too big that God cannot solve. The only limit is the level of delivery you make. Put every aspect of your life in God's hands. When we trust in God, we find peace and security, even in the most turbulent times of our lives.
Take Action
To experience God's care, propose a “day of caring.” Choose a day this week to take care of something or someone. It could be taking care of a plant, helping a younger sibling with homework, or even doing a kindness for a neighbor. As you do this, remember that, just as you are caring for someone or something, God is taking care of you every day.
