OUR FATHER

«In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.» Matthew 6: 9

As Jesus prayed a lot, his disciples realized that this helped Him to be well and also to get through the difficulties they faced. So they asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. Jesus was happy with what they asked and taught them in this way:

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

If Jesus was and is all-powerful, but still set aside a lot of time to pray, we need to pray a lot too! Prayer doesn't change God's heart, but it changes ours! And know that our habit of talking to God changes the way we talk to people. That's why the Lord's Prayer is a perfect model of how we should address God, recognizing His holiness, asking for what we need and seeking His protection and guidance.

Take Action
