«Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. » Matthew 15: 28
Have you ever heard a story about miracles? A miracle is something incredible that happens and cannot be explained by science alone. It's like when something impossible becomes possible with God's help.
Today's story is about one of the miracles Jesus performed. A woman came to Him, asking for help for her daughter who was ill. She had a lot of faith and knew that Jesus could perform a miracle. She asked and Jesus answered, but in a slightly different way. Jesus said that it wasn't right to give children's food to puppies. That sounds strange, right? But what Jesus was doing was testing this woman's faith. And she responded in an incredible way. She said that even puppies eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table. This showed such great faith that Jesus was impressed. He said that her daughter would be healed because of this woman’s faith. Here we see an important lesson: miracles aren't always big spectacular events.
As in today's story, sometimes God tests our faith. He wants to see how much we trust Him, even when things seem difficult. So, trust Him and remember that even the crumbs of God's blessings are more than enough to work miracles.
Take Action
After breakfast, sweep the kitchen and try to count the crumbs. How many did you get? Just as it's difficult to count them, to recognize each one, this can also happen with God's blessings that we have already received or will still receive in our lives!
