JESUS CAN SET YOU FREE TO FULFILL HIS MISSION

«And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.» Acts 12: 11

Imagine being trapped, not only by iron bars, but also by situations in our life that prevent us from mov-ing forward and fulfilling what we believe to be our true mission. Situations such as fear of the dark, sadness for something bad that has happened, or even feeling alone at school, even with so many people around. Now, think of today’s story, where Peter was literally imprisoned, chained, and watched over by soldiers. Everything seemed hopeless. But then, something supernatural happened! An angel of the Lord appeared, the chains fell from his hands, and he was led out of the prison without anyone stopping him. This shows us the power of Jesus to set us free and put us on the path back to our mission.

Just as Peter was set free to follow his mission, Jesus is here, reaching out to free you from everything that holds you back. He invites you to stand up, shake off the “chains” that bind you, and walk alongside Him on an incredible journey. With Jesus, you are not alone, He wants to fill your life with a unique purpose. Know that you have a more than special mission! Are you ready to let Jesus set you free and guide you to the great mission He has just for you?

Take Action

Make a key using cardboard. This key is a powerful symbol of Jesus’s love and strength to free us from the things that bind us, such as fear, sadness, or loneliness. As you draw and cut out your cardboard key, think about the freedom Jesus offers. Every time you look at your key, remember that Jesus is ready to take away these “prisons,” just as He did for Peter, allowing you to run freely toward your mission.
