«Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,» Romans 5: 20
If there's one wonderful thing in life, it's getting something for free! Can you imagine getting a promotion for an all-expenses-paid dream trip to another country? It would be very expensive, but you wouldn’t pay for it. It's like the famous “free samples” in markets. You don't pay for them, but you get to try them for free!
Today's text talks about a much greater grace than the ones I've given you as examples. It's an increased grace. Super abundant! God's grace is like an incredible gift that He gives us, without us having to pay anything for it. It's even better than a dream trip or any free samples, because it's a gift that will last forever.
God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to pay the price for our mistakes. Without us deserving it. Without us having to do anything. He came out of love, to give Himself up for us, giving us salvation by His grace. Will you accept this gift?
Take Action
This weekend, buy a packet of chocolates or sweets and hand them out to people on the street. As you hand them out, tell them they don't have to pay; it's a free gift! This action is a practical reminder of God's grace, which offers us salvation in Jesus at no cost.
