«Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.» 2 Corinthians 5: 17
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you could start all over again, like pressing a reset button? In 2 Corinthians 5:15 and 17, the Bible talks about something incredible that happens when we are in Christ: we become a new creature! What does that mean? It means that, when we believe in Jesus and decide to follow his teachings, it's as if we have a chance to start all over again. It's not that we become someone else on the outside, but on the inside. In our hearts, everything is renewed.
Paul, who wrote these words in the Bible, tells us that, when we are in Christ, old things pass away and everything becomes new. It's like exchanging an old notebook for a brand new one, full of new pages to create new chapters in your life.
But beware! Being in Christ is more than just going to church or knowing things about the Bible. It's letting Jesus change the way we think, feel and act. It's learning to love more, to be more patient and to help others, just as Jesus did. If you are in Christ, you will be a new creation!
Take Action
Your mission this week is to start creating new stories. Think of something you'd like to improve or change. It could be being more patient with your brother or sister, helping out more at home, or being a better friend at school. Remember, being in Christ is like starting a new chapter full of adventures and good deeds!
