DO IT HEARTILY

«And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.» Colossians 3:23-25

You know, sometimes we do things just because we have to, without really getting involved wholeheartedly. It can be like when you tidy up your room, but you do it in a hurry just to make it look tidy. However, Colossians 3:23-24 teaches us something valuable.

It tells us that everything we do we should do our best, that is, to do everything from the heart, as if we were doing it for God. This means that no matter what we are doing, whether it is studying, helping around the house, or playing with friends, we can do it with joy and enthusiasm, as if it were a gift to God.

But how can you apply this in your daily life? When it comes to studying, try to approach your studies with curiosity, discovering new things and making learning a fun experience. While helping around the house, do chores with care, knowing that you are contributing to an environment full of happiness and warmth. And when playing with your friends, be friendly and kind, spreading joy and creating fun moments for everyone to enjoy together.

Take Action

This week, choose a task that you normally do just for the sake of doing it and do it with all your heart. It could be tidying up your room, helping make dinner, or doing your homework. As you do this, remember that you are doing it for God, and do it with joy, as a special gift to Him.
