«This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.» 1 Timothy 1: 15
Solving a math problem can be a challenge for many of us, but what if I told you that Jesus came to solve the biggest “problem” of all? In 1 Timothy 1:15, we find a powerful message that brings us hope and comfort: “This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.” Paul, who wrote these words, wants to remind us of something very important: we all make mistakes, but there is a solution to our sins, and that solution is Jesus. Amen?
When we think of “sins”, we might imagine big, super serious things, but sins are also the small choices and wrong thoughts we make every day. The good news is that Jesus came into the world for this very reason: to offer us a chance to start again, no matter how big our mistake.
Jesus shows us that God's love is so great that He can forgive anything. And not just that! He wants to help us live in a lighter way, one that makes us happy and proud of who we are. And the best part? All we have to do is accept that love and try, every day, to ask for His help to make choices that reflect that love, always remembering that He is the solution to our mistakes!
Take Action
Write a short letter to Jesus, thanking Him for His kindness and forgiveness. In this letter, you can tell Him about a mistake you regret and how you feel knowing that Jesus is always ready to forgive. Keep this letter in a special place as a reminder of Jesus' love and forgiveness.
