WHAT DO THE SEALS REPRESENT?

«Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.» Revelation 6: 1

The seals mentioned in Revelation 6:1-17 are full of mystery and meaning, representing various stages of God’s plans for the world. Each seal, when opened by Jesus, reveals a part of humanity’s history and the future, showing major events and challenges that people would face.

The first four seals are known as the “four horsemen of the Apocalypse,” each symbolizing different things like conquest, war, famine, and death. These knights show the challenges and difficulties that the world would face throughout the ages. The following seals reveal other visions that speak of justice, suffering, and the ultimate victory of good over evil.

These stories of seals, plagues, beasts, and other things from Revelation may seem scary, but they also remind us that God has a plan and is in control of everything. He knows the end from the beginning and promises to be with us at all times, guiding and protecting us

So far, virtually all of these seals have been opened, except for the last one: the seventh, which will be opened when Jesus returns. But know that there is also another “seal” that not even God can open without our permission: the seal of our heart. Just as God knows all of history until the end, He knows your story too, so open your heart to Him think and be open to living the way He expects!

Take Action

Create seven small paper seals and use them to close the letter you wrote to Jesus (remember this task?). Each seal represents a stage in your faith journey. In the same way that Jesus revealed the mysteries of humanity when He opened the seals, when you give your letter to Him, it will be Jesus who will open it, marking your meeting with Him, because He is about to come get us!
