GOD IS FAITHFUL

«Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.» Deuteronomy 7: 9

Deuteronomy, the fifth book written by Moses, is like a treasure trove full of wisdom and guidance. In it, Moses summarizes all that God has done for the people of Israel. He recalls the wonders God had accomplished, the hardships they overcame, and the promises God had fulfilled. This teaches us something very important: it is essential to remember the good things God has already done in our lives and in the lives of our family. As we remember these wonders of God, we rekindle the flame of our faith and gratitude. It is like looking at a photo album of our journey with God, each page showing how much “He is God, the faithful God.”

Sometimes we can forget all those times God has helped us, protected us, and blessed us. That is why we need to “revisit” these moments, to strengthen ourselves for the next challenges that life will bring us. We ourselves are the first to hear our own testimonies, so that we never forget where God got us from and all that He has done for us.

Take Action

At your next sundown worship, organize a special time with your family to share all the blessings each one has received over the past year. Each family member can talk about something they are grateful for. Then say a prayer together, thanking God for all these blessings. This time will be a beautiful opportunity to recognize God’s faithfulness and give thanks for His constant presence in your lives.
