GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES

«So the Lord gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it. The Lord gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand. Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.» Joshua 21:43-45

Have you ever thought about how nice it feels to have someone you can always trust? Someone who never breaks a promise? That someone is God! In Joshua 21:43-45, the Bible shows us God keeping His promises! It would be as if it were saying, “The Lord is faithful.” This means that no matter what happens, God will always keep His promises.

Sometimes, things may not turn out as we expect. Friends can disappoint us, plans can go awry, and we may even feel lonely. But even in those moments, we can be sure of one thing: God is with us, and He is faithful. He never abandons us and always cares for us. God’s faithfulness is like the sun that rises every morning. No matter what happens the day before, the sun always comes out, bringing light and warmth. God is like that. Every day, He is with us, offering His “warmth.” No matter what we do, He does not change. His faithfulness does not depend on us, it is part of who He is.

You know that feeling of security when you hold an adult’s hand when you cross the street? That is how we can feel with God. He guides us, protects us, and helps us face any challenge. It is amazing to know that even when everything else seems uncertain, we can trust God completely.

Take Action

A special way to remember God’s faithfulness is to memorize today’s verse. Try repeating it whenever you feel worried or in trouble: “So the Lord gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it. The Lord gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand.” You will see how these words can bring you peace and courage in difficult times!
