Identity Crisis

«For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.» Genesis 3:5

The enemy arrived in the garden and used the serpent to speak to Eve. He thought: “To destroy the first human couple, I must create a situation that will bring shame to them.” So, he led our first parents to question the authority of God's words. This generated an identity crisis in Adam and Eve. The serpent's lie to them went something like this: “God is hiding something. You can be better than you are.”

The serpent tried to diminish God’s character. This strategy continues to echo in our generation. The enemy has not changed. By leading people to doubt the goodness and the character of God, Satan intends to present alternative paths to happiness, which actually lead us to being lost.

Shortcuts such as depraved sexuality and addictions in general are serpent songs and serve to lead people to doubt God's loving plan.

If you understand that you are a child of God, you will not look for the meaning of life in the wrong places. Your behavior will reflect your identity. Children of God act as children of God. They are happy to obey the father’s orders and do not live anxious and desperate, searching for the meaning of existence in the tortuous paths of sin. They have already found this in the fact that they are children of God.

A sense of identity changes the way we see ourselves and others. This happens because our relationship with Jesus fills in all the gaps in our existence. By resolving their identity crisis, human beings end up developing the virtue of fidelity. Whoever understands that he is a child of God is always willing to be faithful! The world is about to see what God wants to do through you if you believe!
