«If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.» John 13:17
God is looking for those who dedicate themselves to Him wholeheartedly. If we want to see a revolution happening in our church today, what changes do we need to make in our lives? Pay attention to the five suggestions below.
First Revolution: Devotional life. No revolution will occur if you do not improve your devotional life. You have to get up early to read the Book. No revolution will happen until you learn to love the Bible. In it you get to know Jesus. In it you meet Him. Jesus is the central character in its pages. And the more you read it, the more you love it! And you become closer friends with Christ.
Second Revolution: Vibrant worship. It does not matter the size of your church. It does not matter who the preacher is. If you go to worship hungry, you will be fed. Worship occurs when you leave home eager to have a meeting with God. Prior preparation is necessary for authentic worship in church.
Third Revolution: Bible study. This is different from devotional life. In Bible study, the emphasis is on research. In this practice, we seek to learn more about biblical doctrines in order to understand the reasons for faith. Study the Bible each morning. The Sabbath School lesson is a good tool for this. Take note of sermons. Make marks in your Bible. Grow in knowledge. Adventist pioneers (which at the time were mostly young people) spent the night studying the Bible. This needs to happen again among us.
Fourth Revolution: Lifestyle. The world wants to see the difference Jesus makes in our lives. What makes your lifestyle different from the world? What revolution are you looking for? If you dress the same, eat the same, watch the same, date the same, there is no revolution taking place. The fruits of transformation always appear in the life of the converted person.
Fifth Revolution: Challenging mission. You are the sermon the world needs to hear. Testify about Christ. It is not difficult. Just tell what you saw by faith. The church of Acts said, “I saw Jesus. I was healed by Him. Jesus saved me…” Where is this church today? Do you want a revolution in your life? Start practicing what you believe today!
