«And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.» Romans 8:28
The most important task in life is not what I do, but who I am. God called me to be, not to do. Someone said that we are human beings and not human doers.
God acts in all things for the good of those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose. Created by Him, you have all you need to do everything God wants you to do. Nothing will be wasted. God will use everything in your life to fulfill the vision He has for you. But before using you, God wants to work on you.
The Almighty knows the full potential of each of His children. He doesn't want a Joseph sitting on Pharaoh's throne. He wants a resilient Joseph to save a generation (Gen 45:5). He doesn't want a Daniel in the court of Babylon. He wants a Daniel with sensitive ears so He can whisper His secrets (Dan 2:23). He does not want an Esther in the harem of a wicked king. He wants an Esther revealing the strength and courage of a woman who fears the Lord (Est 4:16). This is how we recognize the purpose of our existence! Understanding our mission gives meaning to life and even death.
It takes time for God to make us into what He dreamed for us. However, time is not a problem for Him. It is a great privilege to be called by God to carry out work for the benefit of His kingdom. However, God can only work through you if you allow Him to work in you first.
You may have a vocation to be an architect, teacher, nurse, or preacher. However, this does not mean that you are called by God. What matters is not your ability, but the use you make of it. If you allow yourself to be molded by God, you can be used. You are God's right choice!
