The Law of Harvest

«Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.» Galatians 6:7-8

We need to take God seriously! “God should not be mocked.” This is not just about making jokes taking God's name in vain. This has to do with living life without considering the laws and will of God. It's living life without thinking about the consequences of our choices. It is not responding responsibly to the opportunities offered by God. It's living without remembering that we reap what we sow.

Pay attention to this: the apostle Paul uses the Greek word mukterizo (“to mock”), which means “to hold up one’s nose in contempt.” This is the only time this word is used in the New Testament. In the Greek translation of the Old Testament, the prophet uses this term to say “everyone mocks me” (Jer 20:7), referring to men's contempt for God's messengers.

The hard truth is that people can ignore God and His commandments. Unfortunately, many people have ignored His will. Even so, it is not possible to escape the consequences of these choices. It's a law of life!

The idea of reaping what you sow is called the “Law of Sowing” or the “Law of Harvest.” It is a law of life, as important as the law of gravity. In agriculture or gardening, this is an absolute principle, as it guarantees that we will reap what we sow. The Law of Harvest has three parts that we need to consider: First, you reap what you sow. If you sow tomato seeds in the ground, you won't harvest corn. What you sow, you will reap. Second, you reap what you sow sometime later. The seed will remain in the ground without producing any effect for a long time, but it will sprout. One day the seeds sprout and begin to grow and bear fruit. Third, you reap more than you plant. You sow a small seed, and it germinates, grows and produces much more than was sown.

Many people think they can get around this law. That is nonsense. No one can play with God's laws. What a person reaps in this life is the inevitable result of what they sow. Today, you will sow for good or for evil. I hope you sow only good things around you!
