Praise

Praise is a Christian act of adoration that originates from a heart full of the love of God. It can be expressed internally in our thoughts, or externally, as Miriam and all the other women of Israel did after they crossed the Red Sea.

According to the Scriptures, praise is a willing act that flows from the fear and reverence toward our Creator. Praising glorifies God and invites us to have a deeper bond with Him. Praising the Lord takes our attention away from our problems and draws us to contemplate God’s character.

A praising song in the heart takes away fear, negative feelings, and strengthens our trust in God’s power. “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord” (Ps. 150:6).
