Justice

The basic meaning of justice is to treat people equitably, realizing that justice reflects the character of God.

Deborah’s story is a clear reminder that God is not in the business of marginalization. Four thousand years before equal rights became a movement, He appointed this God-fearing woman to national leadership as the fourth judge of Israel. A prophet, singer, and songwriter of note, as a judge she governed the people, decided matters, and pronounced sentences fairly. In our daily dealings with people we are expected to do the same.

Deborah was a prayer warrior who totally trusted and depended upon God’s guidance. We would do well to imitate these qualities and attributes.
